On September 28th, a team of VCPS employees participated in the Out of the Darkness Walk, organized by the American Suicide Foundation. Last year, this walk and its fundraising directly impacted our ability to offer resources and speakers for our VC Jr./Sr. High students. We are pleased to welcome those speakers back again this year on September 29th, September 30th, and October 2nd to address our 7th-12th-grade students on the topic of Teen Mental Health. This presentation focuses on students' learning about teen mental health and the signs to recognize when a person is struggling. They also provide a plethora of resources for students during their presentation.
