VCHS students Sadie Olson and Cael Vanhal-Deitz had the incredible opportunity to attend the Spirit of America Youth Leadership Conference in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania!
They earned this all-expense-paid trip through ND AMVETS after taking first place at the state level for their essays on βWhat Does Flag Protection Mean to Me?β
During the conference, they met students from across the country, took part in leadership workshops, explored historic sites, and learned more about civic responsibility and our nationβs history.
Weβre so proud of them for representing Valley City and North Dakota! π

Families, friends, and community members are welcome to attend as our students show their appreciation for those who have served our country. π

As we are preparing for construction on our new school beginning in the spring of 2026, we would like to extend a shout-out to a few community members for their support of our students and school district.
Matt Maresh (Bob's Excavating, VCHS Class of '03) and Blake Stevens (Bridge City Excavating, VCHS Class of '20) have helped us develop the new practice fields that will be used for school and youth activities by the end of next summer. Travis Gille (Gille Auto) helped us move the discus pad from Hanna Field to the new field. Sonny Anderson (H.Anderson, VCHS Class of '96) has poured concrete near the scoreboard for a relocated football storage shed.
Thank you so much for your support, Matt, Blake, Travis, and Sonny! We look forward to sharing updates with you over the next few months as we get closer to groundbreaking on the new school in the spring of 2026.
Go Hi-Liners!!
