The All-Girls Treble Choir received First Place in the Women's Choir Category along with a Gold Award! 🏆🎤

🎶✨ VCHS Treble Choir Shines in California! ✨🎶
Juniors and Seniors from the VCHS Band and Choir traveled to Anaheim, California, for the WorldStrides Heritage Music Festival from March 13-17!
Our Treble Choir performed "Prayer of the Children" by Kurt Bestor, a deeply moving piece that has been used for significant commemorations like 9/11 and the Columbine Memorial. Their emotional performance earned high praise from adjudicators!

Valley City High School is celebrating a historic achievement as Cheska Flores (senior) and Jossi Zahn (9th grade) took first place in their divisions at the Art of Conservation Songbird Art Contest—the first time VCHS students have entered! 🥇🎉
✨ Jossi’s Prismacolor drawing captures two American goldfinches in stunning detail, while Cheska’s gouache painting brings a bold, stylized take on the species.
"This is an incredible achievement," said Art Teacher Stephani Krueger. "Our first-time entrants took home the top awards—what a testament to their talent!" 🎨💙

On Wednesday, March 5th, 20 VCPS students volunteered at The Legacy Place and St. Raphael Nursing Home, spreading kindness and building connections across generations! 🏡✨
They participated in multi-generational activities, engaged with residents, and even left with job applications because they enjoyed the experience so much! 💙👏
Both facilities loved having our students and are excited to continue hosting events like this in the future. Way to go, Hi-Liners! 🌟
🏆🤖 VALLEY CITY ROBOTICS FINISHES STATE RUNNER-UP! 🤖🏆
What a day for Valley City High School Robotics! 🎉 Boyd’s Boys and Ring Ranchers dominated the ND State VEX Tournament, with Boyd’s Boys finishing as State Runner-Up! 🥈🔥
After facing off in the semifinals, Boyd’s Boys teamed up with Red River to make it to the Championship match but fell just short to a Red River/Thompson alliance. They also earned the Judge’s Award for catching the eye of the judges! 👏
At one point, Valley City teams were ranked 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the state! 💙🤖 An incredible showing of skill, perseverance, and teamwork!
The next game drops in May—and you know we’ll be ready!
