2023-2024 STUDENT REGISTRATION
Valley City Public Schools provides online registration for new and returning students. Parents/guardians of all VCPS students will complete their annual registration forms in PowerSchool, using their PowerSchool Parent Account.

If you have already pre-registered your incoming kindergarten student this spring, do not register them as a new student, but rather as a returning student.
Class lists for elementary students in grades K-6 will be available on PowerSchool beginning on Tuesday, August 15th.
The following fees are eligible for the Free and Reduced option. By completing the Free and Reduced Application, your family may qualify for free or reduced pricing on these school fees. This application needs to be completed each year. Please consider that Valley City Public Schools does not receive any federal or state funding reimbursement for any of the fees, besides meals. Please only request the benefits if you need them. A review of qualifications will be conducted & families will receive notifications from the school.
Student Lunch Accounts*
Breakfast and lunch at VCPS will no longer be free to families for the 2023-2024 school year due to loss of federal funding. Parents will need to add money to their child's account before school begins. Online payments can be made using MySchoolBucks. Use link below to enter your meal payment information. If you qualified last year, your status will remain the same until the current application is processed. If you have not qualified before but want to apply, full prices will be collected initially until the application is approved.
Free and Reduced Meal Form or Paper Copy Application (paper copy must be returned to your school before the first day of school). This application may ask for your student's State ID number. To find that number, log in to your parent PowerSchool account, choose the student name at the top of the screen and click 'Report Card' on the left. The 10-digit State ID number will appear at the top of this report card document. If at any time you have questions, contact Joleen Hagen at our District Office (email@example.com). Once the application is complete, families will receive notification from the school on your eligibility status.
Please note: Elementary Milk Break fees are collected separately from the school lunch account. Any families needing to purchase milk break for their students should stop by the school office or the Central Office.
7th-12th Athletic & Activity Registration*
Registration and payments will be made in rSchool. Click here to register your child and pay the fees. Sports physicals can be uploaded here as well.
7th-12th Class Fee Payments*
If your child is enrolled in a class that is subject to a fee for supplies, those Classes Fees will be invoiced and sent to your email in mid-September. Online payments will be made using MySchoolBucks.
School Bus Registration*
Online School Bus Registration is now closed. Any families needing to register should stop by Central Office and register in person. Payments can be made in the office or on MySchoolBucks. Please review the bus pricing and rules linked below:
