🌱 On Thursday, VCHS Biology students teamed up with Jefferson Elementary students to plant the raised gardens around Jefferson Elementary School. They planted over 250 plants and seeded many more, including various flowers and produce that Jefferson students will enjoy in the fall.
A big thank you to everyone who supported this project! The VCHS Class of 2023 donated money for the carts, lights, and supplies used to start growing these plants indoors since February. Prairie Road Organic Seed in Fullerton donated a wide variety of seeds, and the Valley City Education Foundation provided a mini-grant for gardening tools and soil to refresh the beds.

🎉 Congratulations to the students recognized at this morning’s School Board Meeting! Your achievements in Speech, the Governor's Show, the Duck Stamp Contest, and for being Choice Ready are outstanding. We are so proud of your dedication and hard work. 🌟

The Jefferson Field Day Fundraiser is underway! If you would like to contribute to our goal of raising the last $20,000 of the $300,000 total, you can find your favorite Jefferson student, or contact the Jefferson office for more details! Thanks in advance for your support!

Are you looking to earn some additional cash and have the opportunity to transport the best students in North Dakota? Valley City Public Schools is hiring several part-time bus driving positions for the 2024-2025 school year. The competitive pay ranges from $24 per hour to $32 per hour depending upon experience and certification. If you are not interested in earning your CDL license or driving a big school bus, we are also hiring drivers for our small mini-bus routes starting at $24 per hour.

Valley City Public Schools Event Alert 🚨
Today, May 1, 2024, at 10:30 AM, there will be a critical educational event in the Hanna Field Parking Lot. In a collaborative effort with local, county, and state emergency responders, Valley City Public Schools will stage a distracted/impaired driving re-enactment involving students.
🕙 Please note, there will be noticeable activity in the parking lot starting at 10:30 AM, but there is no cause for concern.
This re-enactment is a powerful, visual reminder of the dangers associated with distracted and impaired driving. It’s a vital message for our students, particularly as we approach the spring and summer festivities, including prom and graduation.

🌟 Exciting News from Valley City Public Schools! 🌟
Our Junior High Student Council members had an inspiring experience at the Middle-Level Student Council Conference held in Bismarck on April 22nd and 23rd. They delved into leadership skills and enjoyed the opportunity to connect with peers from across North Dakota.
A special shoutout to Cadence Fetsch, who represented Valley City on the Middle-Level State Student Council Board! Cadence played a key role in organizing the conference and led several parts of the event over the two days. Her dedication and leadership were truly remarkable.
We are proud of all our students for their enthusiasm and commitment to developing as leaders.

The Students of the Month for April for Valley City Jr. High School are Trinity Hersha, Cooper Anderson, Jerica Schwab, and Isaiah Turrubiates. Valley City Jr./Sr. High staff nominate students based on the following criteria: being a hardworking student, showing respect for staff and peers, being honest and trustworthy, attending school, and being involved in school activities. Congratulations to these students! 🎉
